The median annual technology salary has reached $112,667, more than double the median salary across all U.S. occupations, CompTIA reported.

Here are the top 10 metro areas for tech pay, according to the IT trade association’s State of the Tech Workforce 2025 report published July 1:

3. Seattle

4. Washington, D.C.

5. New York City

6. Boston

7. San Diego

8. Portland, Ore.

9. Baltimore

10. Los Angeles
